This assignment was really fun to me. We had a list of art cliche's to choose from and I chose the Mona Lisa. This assignment was an exercise in matching values of lights and darks. We had to use magazine pictures to match values and not necessarily color. We were also told to change something about it. I actually changed a lot and had a lot of fun with it.
I found an artist named Eileen Downes that makes similar art. Hers is much more detailed than mine. Her blog is: http://eileendownes.blogspot.com/
I really like her art. I think it would be a fun art project to try in the future.
